CIS 3730 – Database Management Systems

Overview:
For your second graded team project, you will be performing database modelling and design activities. There are two key deliverables to this project:
1. Narrative of the organization and its activities (in table format).
2. ERD using Crows Foot modelling technique that correlates with the narrative.The output will be in report format. You are welcome to use an ERD tool, however, this is not required. Plan to present your diagram during class of Nov. 21.Grading: This project is 10% of your course grade and will be graded according to the following:
Instructions: Choose 1 of the 3 options provided using the associated diagram. The 2 key deliverables must correlate to the option that you choose. The deliverables are:
1. Table that includes the Narrative of the option that you chose and its assumed associated activities associated (See appendix for the format required.
a. Number your diagram and provide the appropriate narrative that correlates
b. Include the Connectivity (1:1, 1:M, M:N) and whether each side is optional or not.
c. Include Cardinality
2. ERD Diagram using Crows Foot modelling technique. The ERD / tables must include the following:
a. All the entities specified for the option that you chose.
b. All of the specified attributes
c. Specify Primary Key (PK) and foreign keys (FK).
d. Add any appropriate tables needed to fulfil 3NF.
While you may have liberty on specific processes, you should follow the diagram provided. If you deter or modify the diagram, you will need to provide a revised version.
