Jada is a 14 year old African-American female that presents to her local community health clinic as a walk-in hoping to speak to someone. Jada states, “Can I talk to someone? I have $60 is that enough? I don’t want my mom to know I’m here.” A Family Nurse Practitioner has an opening. Jada states, “My friend Estella just told me she was pregnant. My periods have never been regular. I really wasn’t worried about getting pregnant before it happened to my friend. I did one of those home tests and it was negative, so I’m OK–right?”
