I honestly think providing bonuses and having incentive programs for physicians and other providers is great. Rewarding someone for doing a good job will always increase the moral of a health care facility. When I work at a pediatric dental office in Charleston, SC staff members were rewarded for meeting certain goals. Because I worked as a benefits coordinator, my department was always rewarded for decrease collection accounts. Even though a person has a well paid job doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be rewarded. Becoming a health care provider takes a lot of time and money so a bonus can help pay off those students loans.
