Nursing Organization Paper
Purpose:

To provide the opportunity for students to become familiar with different nursing associations.

Learning objectives:

Examine the role of professional nursing organizations in policy development.
Review the scope and contributions of a nursing organization

Instructions:

Choose a nursing association. The nursing association will be American Association of Critical-Care Nurses
Define the Nursing Organization including a history. Also include a brief summation on the political, social, and economic views.
Create a sound issue paper on ONE political position taken by the nursing organization and explore possible options/alternatives for resolving the issue.
Format
All papers are to be typed, 12 point Times New Roman format, double spaced, and in APA format (you do not have to include a cover page or “running head”)
Length: 1-2 pages
Headings for papers must include the following information
-your name
-name of assignment
A reference page with proper citations MUST accompany all papers (references are required for ALL papers)
Correct Spelling with grammar and punctuation that reflects college level writing
