Guidance
Part 1

a.Here you should be looking for similarities between Sita’s feelings, described in the written case study, and Harry’s feelings, described in the video clip.
b.You may find it useful to revisit Unit 13, Section 13.2 to help you with this question, in particular Activity 13.1, which includes a discussion of the model of stress and injury.
c.You may find it helpful to re-examine Unit 13, Section 13.3, including Activities 13.2 and 13.3. You can use either a cognitive appraisal model or a grief response model to describe Sita’s reactions to injury, and you may wish to critique the model you have selected. Your discussion must consider the factors that have caused Sita’s reactions and the implications that they may have.
d.Your answer to this question should consider three potential interventions and explain why you think they would be appropriate. You may find it helpful to revisit Unit 13, Section 13.4, Activities 13.4 and 13.5 and Box 13.6. Box 13.6 will be particularly useful, as it contains intervention strategies we would expect you to include in your answer.
Part 2

Firstly, identify the unit that you will be using for this part of the assignment and state this clearly. The final unit in Study Topic 4, Unit 17 (‘Reflecting on your learning’), may be useful in helping you to reflect on your learning within your chosen unit.

Section A: Application and understanding

In this section, you should aim to relate what you have learned in the module materials to the real world. You should select the ideas that you found most useful and discuss how well you feel that they work in practice and what you have gained from them. Make sure that you reference all the specific parts of the module materials that you found valuable, using the correct referencing conventions.

Section B: Journal reading

Firstly, identify the unit that you will be using for this part of the assignment and state this clearly.

In section a, you should select the ideas that you found most useful in the unit and discuss what you have gained from them. Make sure that you reference all the specific parts of the module materials that you found valuable, using the correct referencing conventions. The table you completed in either section 17.3 or 17.4 of Unit 17 (‘Reflecting on your learning’), will be particularly useful in helping you to reflect on how your study of the chosen unit has helped you to develop new insights your learning within your chosen unit.

In section b, you need to show that you can read and interpret a journal article and effectively discuss its key findings. It is important to consider how these key findings apply to sport and fitness environments. You were introduced to how to interpret journal articles in Unit 11 Activity 11.4 and Unit 12 Section 12.2, so revisiting these may be helpful. Make sure that you reference the journal article you have selected and any specific quotes from the article that you found valuable. Please note that the article you read for Section B should relate to the option you discussed in Section A.

As with all TMAs, it is important that you support your work on both parts of this TMA with references and evidence from the module materials. Guidance on referencing can be found in Section 5.2 of the E233 Assessment Guide.
