You may use the Bechdel test or any other indicator. Select a film and describe how the actors perform as masculine, feminine or neutral gender. You might examine elements such as the portrayal of women, the number of characters who are male or female, how their relationships are shown, or the number of scenes with sex or violence. Consider whether the film passes the Bechdel Test. Option #2. Select a film and describe how the actors perform gender within (or beyond) the diverse LGBTQ spectrum. You might examine elements such as identity and difference; community, political engagement and social change. Consider whether the film turns away from negative stereotypes.
