2. Develop at least one tentative research question (A research question is a straightforward, focused, concise, complex, and arguable question around which you center your research. Your RQ serves as a mini-outline for your paper).
3. Find five scholarly articles on a topic of your choice that use qualitative and quantitative research methods.
4. Write how each article contributes to understanding the topic you have chosen (compare and contrast).
5. Connect the articles to your research inquiry; find out the strengths and challenges of previous research approaches (what methods and approaches worked or did not work).
6. Find gaps, inconsistencies, or problems in the articles and how it still needs to be addressed on the topic.
7. Compare and contrast the different arguments, theories, methodologies, and past studies findings (whenever possible). You can have a paragraph under each theme.
8. Critique the literature (do not criticize), write which arguments are more persuasive and why?
9. Conclude your literature review with the main findings from the articles you reviewed and underline the critical point to answer your research questions. Conclude your literature review section with an emphatic restatement of your study’s central research questions (goals).
