(ii) critically analyse how the topic is framed and represented, analysing the features that contribute to framing and representation (e.g. language, camera angle, use of music, choice of evidence, what is left out) and;

(iii) assess the accuracy and balance of the depiction and/or discussion using relevant criminological evidence from beyond the text (i.e. evaluate the content within its social context).

(iv) The two or more texts (or groups of texts, in the case of social media content) should also be compared, using dimensions (i-iii above) of your separate analysis of the texts.

In addition to standard references, you must provide working links to the texts that have used, or some other way the assessor can access the texts you are working with (e.g. photographs/links).

Your analysis should be 2000 words, excluding references and links.

You should provide a short introduction to explain your choice of media texts, and a short conclusion to summarise your findings and explain their implications for the relationship between crime, media and society.
