Select a group to write about. Your textbook focuses on African Americans, Asian Pacific Americans,LatinX Americans, and Native Americans, but you can choose another group as well. Use the chapters in Section III of your textbook to start you on your research.
Research how the group you have selected has been impacted by trauma.
You will need to define trauma and narrow down what kinds of trauma you are examining.
The assigned reading for Essay #1 (American Racial Hierarchy) can help you understand the social contexts and political decisions in the history of the United States that have impacted certain groups.
You will need to draw on other references including at least one peer reviewed academic journal article.
