The modern IT department must be well-informed about new technologies, constantly examining and assessing them for a potential role in the organization. Sometimes new technologies are desired by users and other stakeholders, but are an imperfect fit in the organization, either because they clash with existing systems, or because they subvert organizational processes that have worked well in the past.

Assignment Deliverables

In your main post for this Discussion Board assignment, consider the impact of recent technologies on IT departments. The department can be one that you worked for, been a customer of, or read about in your learning activities. Select one of the technologies listed below for this discussion:
