Task Pick an intercultural issue such as the following (note these are suggestions only feel free to delve into any area that interests you): Canada and Multiculturalism; Identity of Newcomers; Conflict and Harmony; Media and Multiculturalism; Multiracial Families (marriage, adoption, and/or generation); and Human Rights. These topic areas are very broad. You may wish to narrow your investigation to something more refined within one of these topic areas. Research your selected topic using the Internet, the lesson notes for this course to date, the library, and personal experiences. Analyze how the topic is related to intercultural communication and determine how you identify with this issue in your life. In identifying with this issue, please provide specific examples. Conduct This assignment is to be prepared as a presentation that you will provide to your classmates. You are to prepare your presentation in MS Word or Rich Text Format (note not everyone has access to Power Point; consequently, using this format may preclude some students from viewing your presentation). Try to make your presentation attractive through the use of graphs, diagrams, pictures, etc. to illustrate your presentation. Remember, this assignment is a presentation and as such you want to make it appealing to your audience. Your presentation must include the following: 1. Written on a topic relevant to intercultural issues or topic; 2. Include graphics or diagrams relevant to the topic being addressed in the presentation; 3. Include three (3) academically relevant sources that are properly cited in the presentation 4. A reference list is to be included at the end of the essay; 5. The citations and references are to be in APA format; 6. At least two fellow learners presentations are to be read and commented on with any relevant questions asked about the presentation. Comments must be more than agreement or compliments for the presentation 7. The presentation must be not less than four pages long excluding a title page and references. 8. The presentation is to be double space and written using Times Roman 12 pt font 9. The presentation is to use MS Word or RTF document structure and not be in Power Point or other presentation format 10. The presentation will use section headings as follows: a. Introduction b. Presentation topic 1 (this is a generic heading. Use words relevant to your topic) c. Presentation topic 2 (use as many section headings as necessary for your presentation organization) d. Conclusion e. References 11. The presentation is grammatically sound Mount you completed presentation in the Discussion Forum (note there is a function in each discussion that will allow you to attach a file rather that pasting the presentation to the discussion area) by the due date detailed in the course calendar. Note there is a due date the presentation must be mounted in the discussion area and a due date that concludes the discussion. Ensure your presentation is mounted in the discussion forum by the first due date to avoid late penalties.
