2. After reading Rickie Solinger’s “The Human Rights Era: The Rise of Choice, the Contours of Backlash,
1960-1980” and watching my lecture about women’s liberation, what struck you about the politics of Women’s
Liberation in the 1960s and 1970s, particularly with regard to how the movement’s politics differed from the
women’s rights movement of the 19th and early 20th centuries?
