The purpose of this assignment is to help you assess your leadership style through a combination of self-reporting instruments and feedback from others. Step 1: Complete EACH of the following questionnaires: Leadership Trait Questionnaire. For this questionnaire alone, ask five other people, preferably work colleagues, to fill out the questionnaire, and you will need to answer the questions as well. Follow the scoring instructions. What do these traits and personal qualities say about how you would lead others? What are their implications for your leadership style? Task and Relationship Questionnaire: Report on your score for this questionnaire and tell how your preferences for task or relationship behaviors impact the way you tend to lead and manage others. Fully explain what it means to be task or relationship oriented before you talk about the impact of these styles. Path Goal Leadership Questionnaire and report your scores and describe the implications of these scores for how you lead others. In other words what behaviors are your subordinates likely to see with a person who has these scores? Psychodynamic Approach Questionnaire — this is a very brief form of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Score the instrument and describe how your personality style would impact the way you lead. Step 2: Based on the aggregate, and individual results of these questionnaires, describe who you are as a leader. Identify your specific leadership style based on the results of the questionnaires; explain/support how the results led you to determine that your current preferred leadership style being sure to define the key characteristics of the leadership style and then correlate results from the questionnaires to those key characteristics. Step 3: (a) Identify your strengths and weaknesses as a leader, (b) explain how those strengths and weaknesses would impact your followers and (c) identify concrete ways in which you would maximize your strengths and minimize your weaknesses to achieve the fullest potential as a leader. Be sure to fully support/explain each option using APA formatted in-text citations; remember that all in-text citations must also be included in the reference section (conversely all references included in the reference section must be included as in-text citations). Additional Requirements: The paper must be between 4 -6 pages, excluding the cover and reference pages. Include clear and succinct introduction and summary paragraphs. Use course readings, scholarly sources from the UMUC online library, and/or the weekly modules to support your analysis do not use Wikipedia as a source. You must use at least 5 sources published within the last three to five years. Follow APA style guidelines for the cover page, in-text citations and reference page (an abstract is not required for this assignment).
