– Notice how companies decide on and implement the allocation of roles and responsibilities between headquarters and subsidiaries. Illustrate the tensions that can occur in creating effective headquarter-subsidiary relationships and key means of managing the ongoing issues to maintain them.
– Illustrate the difficulty of converting broad strategic intent into specific operating decisions. The case provides a good example of how companies’ strategic competencies and organizational capabilities are most often built decision by decision, rather than imposed through grand strategic plans or organizational designs.

You should structure your paper in APA 7 format. If you do cite the text, case, class materials, etc., please give credit where credit is due by using in-text citations. In this case, you will also have to include a reference page.
