More details;

They will first have you fill out a lengthy questionnaire, asking you to detail what drugs you have done, how often you use, when you started, and the same about alcohol. They’ll also ask if you have ever had legal and or court trouble stemming from the addiction. If you’ve ever driven under the influence, and, if you’ve been in jail or prison because of it.

They will delve into your family history and background asking about abuse, neglect, mental illnesses; if you were taken from your parents and were in foster care, and if you have any felonies. They’ll ask about your current living situation, if you’re married or single. If you have children, and if your children have ever been taken away because of substance abuse.

After the paperwork is done, and if this is court ordered.

You will have to enroll in a substance abuse class, and a class pertaining to if you any type of mental illness. If you have other issues, you may have to take other classes. And btw, you have to pay for every class, they are not free even if they’re court ordered.

Each classes therapist will ask you to do drug drops, which you will also have to pay for. You will have to urinate in a restroom with a staff member who takes care of collecting and submitting the samples. If you drop ‘dirty’, it will be reported to your probation officer (if you have one), and they will report it to the court and violate you. The court will also violate you, which will cancel any rules that you agreed to that were keeping you out of jail.
