Sequential Counter Design

In this activity you will design a count sequence based on the design you create from the block path. Your path must be unique. Your path must start from zero and end at zero. You cannot enter the same block more than once. Once you have completed your path, you will design a counter to display the number sequence for your path on the BCD to Seven Segment Display system. (Bonus Effort) You will use an active pushbutton to reset the counter at any time. You will use another active high pushbutton to latch on the clock to start the count sequence. Once the count sequence is complete the system will automatically stop. This project has four parts: 1) Sequential Counter Design – (10%) – Due Friday, May 1st, 2020 Introduction Block Diagram of Design Binary State Diagram Next State Transition Table JK Flip Flop Truth Tables JK Flip Flop K-Maps Simplified Network Boolean Equations [This will count towards your coursework project score] 2) Final Design Circuit and Report (5%) – Due Saturday, May 9, 2020 3) Design Demonstration Video (5%) – Due Saturday, May 9, 2020 4) Design Project Interviews (5%) – Final Exam period (May 10 and May 13)
