The paper will be at least 1,500-2,000 words. Use at least two secondary sources in addition to the literary text you are analyzing.
Secondary sources must be scholarly, not popular. (No websites unless that’s how you’ve accessed a scholarly journal).
The paper will include both in-text (or parenthetical) citations and a Works Cited page. I will attach the approved sources for the assignment. The subject of the paper: The significance of words that hurt, In Much Ado About Nothing
Why this topic appealed to me: Benedict and Beatrice could have genuine feelings for each other, but are they love or annoyance. The most prevalent and familiar activity was the use of words that were hurtful to others.
My working thesis statement: Family, friends or lovers should know them and trust their words to be what is best for us in the long run. Approach to the subject of my paper: Violence and misunderstanding are what stand out. I will point out characters that use words to hurt someone purposely. The deceptions are prevalent and seem to help solve a problem first caused by the same trick. I am possibly concluding by comparing today’s society and using language in deception as a form of violence today.
