Equity and inclusion in culturally and linguistically diverse schools

Conclusions and Ethical Considerations: Directions
Directions: Reflect on the work that you completed for your Classroom Inquiry Project over the course of the year. As you reflect on the overall Classroom Inquiry Process, consider how your work helps to achieve the hopes and dreams that you have for your students as well as how it connects to your own development as an educator. Also reflect on how your Classroom Inquiry Project relates to the Sacramento State’s College of Education’s Mission:
The Teaching Credentials Branch prepares teachers and leaders to be agents of change, committed to social justice, equity and inclusion in culturally and linguistically diverse schools and communities.
Use your reflection to write a conclusion to your Classroom Inquiry Project. Your conclusion should be 5-7 pages (double-spaced) and must address the following points:
• Restate the problem and associated inquiry question(s).
• Summarize the main findings from the Classroom Inquiry Project and discuss how they can be used to challenge the status quo as a means to promote educational equity and access.
• List recommendations and ethical considerations for stakeholders (e.g., teachers, administrators, educational policy makers, students, families, school communities, etc.) connected to the problem addressed in this project.
• Describe the overall significance of the Classroom Inquiry Project, especially as it relates to countering deficit thinking and advocating for systemic change.
