Identification and description of critical issues:
What are the critical issues Wayfair Inc. is currently facing or may face in the near future? Choose at least two critical issues. A critical issue can be a negative aspect such as increased competition but also a potential positive aspect such as the implementation of a new technology that they should consider in the future. The section should provide good overview of what the issues currently look like and also why these issues can be of grievous problems or lost opportunities if not addressed properly.
Assessing the root cause
There is a reason that the issues became critical. What is the history or series of events that led the firm to face the critical situation? Could anything have been done differently to ameliorate the difficulties the firm currently faces or may face in the future? Knowing the root cause of the problems can be helpful in deriving at sound solutions. Identify the root causes for each of the two critical issues.
Strategic alternatives
What are some options (at least two per critical issue) the firm may consider in trying to overcome the critical issues? There rarely is a perfect solution so it would be helpful to assess the cost and benefit of each of the strategic alternatives. What may be some of the obstacles in following a particular strategic alternative?
Executing the recommendations
Based on the alternatives provided in the previous section, what is your recommendation to resolve each of the issues? Why do you support the alternatives you chose over the other options? What may be the action plan to implement your recommendations?
